Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Boris Alexander Law respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the professional obligations of the Law Society of Ontario.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), whether you are an employee or employer, and your message. When you book a consultation, the booking service collects the details you enter there.

The situation check ("Do I have a case?" / "Check my risk") runs entirely in your browser, and your answers are not sent anywhere unless you choose to email your results. If you do, we receive your email address and your answers and may use them to follow up with you about a consultation.

If you also opt in to employment law updates, we will occasionally email you news and articles. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The virtual assistant stores a single note in your browser's session storage so the greeting isn't shown twice; it doesn't collect or send your information anywhere.

How we use it

We use your information only to respond to your inquiry, check for conflicts of interest, schedule consultations and, if you become a client, provide legal services. We don't sell or rent personal information.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run this website: Netlify (website hosting and form delivery), Cal.com (consultation booking) and Google Fonts (typefaces). These providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

Confidentiality

Please don't send confidential or sensitive details through the contact form. Information you send before a lawyer–client relationship is formed may not be protected the same way as communications with a client.

Retention and your rights

We keep inquiry information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law and professional rules. You may ask to access or correct your personal information, or withdraw consent, by contacting us through the contact form.
